TRASH‼️ very disappointed. Not good soul food at all‼️ I got the fried chicken plate. They were out of breast and cornbread. The plate itself was not good though, Mac and cheese flavorless and yams as well, chicken tasted old and nasty. Not worth the $20 I spent not one bit! Oh and the establishment itself had a funky smell walking in. Definitely not a good smell! 0 stars if I could ‼️‼️‼️

Ordered dinner plates for the family for dinner. The family wanted fish so I had gotten the Snapper with mac and cheese and fries, husband had the Catfish with greens and black eyed peas, Son got the fried chicken with mac and cheese and yams. Worst experience ever......The Snapper was undercooked tasted very fishy and dry. Mac and cheese was overcooked and bland no flavor. Yams were too sweet the greens and black eyed peas where over salted and the chicken was over salted as well. Plus the tater sauce was just a drop not enough for the fish if the fish was edible. The only good to come of this meal was the Catfish. Would not go back..... I've love my fish will have to look else where for good fish.

The Customer service was good there was a respectful friendly woman who took my order, it seems they didn't have several items that I ordered or other patrons inquired about, it is evident that the food is prepared at the last minute, I asked for two pork chop dinners which comes with rice but as I lifted up my pork chops I barely had any rice it was literally maybe two tablespoons of rice in each of the containers, I asked the lady where was the rice? I received the last of the rice which caught me by surprise because it was only 2:00 in the afternoon and this is a restaurant why isn't there food prepared? How many customers are expected? Another thing that concerns me is.. is this restaurant adequate enough to serve the public? That's the unfortunate thing that I experience with a lot of black Restaurants are professionalism, inadequacies with food availability, and although this restaurant had good customer service, the average Black food businesses lack in that area as well. It's also evident that the Kool-Aid is prepared with fountain water, I ordered two cups with no ice and it was made with hot water. Absolutely delicious authentic food that truly feeds the soul😋👌 The seasonings on that juicy crisp chicken became my new favorite spot in the I.E. Excellent customer service and great atmosphere with great music. Definitely will be coming back with friends and family!

First time visiting. No sign out front yet. Very neat and clean inside. We were told there was a 30 minute wait for the order. There was a constant flow of people in and out. I wasn’t satisfied with the quality, the fish was undercooked, the Mac and cheese was undercooked and cold and the yams were also undercooked and hard, No flavor. Definitely didn’t live up to the social media hype. Please prep more food earlier so there isn’t a rush to serve less than good tasting quality Soul Food. Please get behind the drive to be a community staple that we can support for years.
